These libs aren’t very interesting ones though. The “don’t you know Russia is evil dictatorship?” types couldn’t point to the country on a map, and their arguments become circular very quickly. Not really worth arguing with them, or trying to educate them, just pointing and laughing once and then moving on.

Idk, it’s kind of helpful to everyone with a brain because it’s just some dog shit, fact less, regurgitated shit, followed by a half dozen comrades posting sources. Which makes for good reference and lear ing material for everyone else. Half the shit I know is from tankies shitting on libs with massive source dumps. lol

Depending on who you believe, the remaining documents aren’t all that interesting, only go into more detail on things we already know, or require much more investigation to flesh out, but I’d rather judge that for myself. The whole thing is really suspicious, what with a Silicon Valley billionaire having bought the documents and eventually cutting access to them. Pierre Omidyar is far too close to the “deep state” to trust this kind of information with.

This gives a broad overview on the topic.

Remind me again, what happened to Navalny? Was that just a little press dispute in Russia?

Why does this justify executing him violently in prison and arresting people who attended his funeral? Where was the criminal prosecution for these crimes?

Is that what you call justice? Any form of bad speech is met with execution?

                That is freedom?

You realize that claiming he was ‘violently executed’ is complete supposition on your part, right? There’s no non-circumstantial evidence to support that claim.

How many people attended his funeral?

For all of his fairy tales about support of the majority ~12k. And that’s fucking Moscow(population ~13million). For comparison ~50k attended funerals of Motorola and Givi in wartime Donetsk (population ~1 million). And those definitely didn’t have brainwashed libs traveling from afar to see the coffin of their dear Alexey Goebbels Jr. either. They sure did have the risk of an ukronazi terror bombing though.

How many are being arrested for attending?

Well, even your Ministry of Truth says that under a hundred, buddy. Wanna bet they were antagonizing the cops sent to provide security as a standard procedure for large gatherings?

Also lmao at you thinking the US respects the sovereignty of nations…how was this country founded again and how many interventions and coups did it stage…? Hmmm

Had a Russian exchange student who told me that you would straight up get arrested for holding a blank sign, and rainbow flags are straight up go directly to jail illegal. I mean, I’m sure you don’t get hard prison for it, but it was enough that we joked with him about getting rainbow stuff to send back with him.

Blank signs are a sign of astroturfed (and usually foreign backed) protests. Why would someone protest using a blank sign, unless someone else was going to photoshop a slogan onto it at a later date?

You guys don’t like it when foreign governments interfere in your elections, and every other country feels the same.

actually, the only times I know blank sheets were used weren’t for Photoshop (makes no sense to use it for Photoshop tbh imo, I don’t think it was ever the case in Russia at least for any remotely relevant protests), but as an anti-war protest, where explicit anti-war slogans were clearly banned, so some people tried going out with blank sheets because it’s obvious what their message is. There were funnier loopholes, like someone claiming “НЕТ В***Е” (no to w*r) was meant to say “НЕТ ВОБЛЕ” (no to some specific kind of fish) because the protester particularly hates that kind of fish, and it miraculously worked, but she later got a 30k fine after wide media coverage.

It’s usually used for western news coverage of western backed protests, the signs will be blank, and filled in in English to manufacture whatever story western newspapers want to make about one of the “bad guy countries.” (there were quite a few of these people in China during covid and they were widely mocked for their very obviously artificial “white paper movement” over there, but it was treated as a 100% real protest against “authoritarianism” by western newspapers).

Of course, just because something has been used for astroturfed and manufactured protests doesn’t mean that is the only time it has ever been used. As you listed there, there are attempts to get around anti-protesting legislation (though as you also pointed out, that’s kind of pointless anyway, as people will be punished by the “spirit” of the law rather than the letter of it).

Fuck off with that debatebro bullshit. Please actually read what I said.

If someone is trying to overthrow a government, especially on behalf of foreign powers, that government will try to stop and arrest them. This isn’t a moral statement, it is a factual one. Russia isn’t fucking Mordor, it’s a real country, and it functions like one, governments will act to preserve their own existence. I don’t know why this is an impossible concept for libs to grasp.

Btw. Mordor was not less real than Gondor and Rohan, there are snippets of lore here and there about it having a functioning economy, society and international relations, just in the book we mostly see the volcanic wilderness and hot war-condition military infrastructure in its west part.
