    Ctrl+a - go to beginning of line (alpha? I dunno)

    ctrl+e - go to (e)nd of the line

    alt+f - (f)orward one word

    alt+b - (b)ack one word

    You might already know these but no one else has posted them on this thread yet. I work in both Linux and Mac a lot and this works for them. No idea about Windows I’m no longer forced to use it at work 🙂

    Works the same as M-b for me (backwards-word)

    Make sure your /etc/inputrc or ~/.inputrc contains

    # mappings for Ctrl-left-arrow and Ctrl-right-arrow for word moving
    
    "\e[1;5C": forward-word
    
    "\e[1;5D": backward-word
    
    "\e[5C": forward-word
    
    "\e[5D": backward-word
    
    "\e\e[C": forward-word
    
    "\e\e[D": backward-word`
