I remember having a beautiful white and green checkered shirt which my mom just threw into the washing machine… it wasn’t white and green anymore
That’s terrible!
So anyhow you do her laundry now right?
Holy mackerel, throw it in the washing machine all you want, but get checked for that stool, mate!
Breaking news: teenager hangs himself after catastrophic typo
I do that all the time, with hot water, a shit ton of softner and detergent. My bright colors with whites are fine, as in no color transfer. Can’t comment of if the clothes are fading faster. I usually won’t combine jeans though.
I do and everything is fine. Anything that fails the gauntlet gets donated. I still have some worthy shirts from the 1990s.
Wear all black, then it doesn’t matter.

What about slightly darker black
I got a new black T-shirt a little while back, and found that when I put it on in the mornings, if I’m not careful, I’ll get a white mark from moisturiser on it by accident.
Doesn’t happen with my old black shirts for some reason …
Work in theater, can confirm.

Cold water wash for everything except towels and underwear, baybee
Haven’t separated by color in like, ever
Why except towels and underwear? Asking for a friend.
As a person with a delicate immune system I feel better knowing the items that touch bacteria-sensitive portions of my body are sanitized with heat.
Do you actually go to temperatures high enough to sanitize? 60C is still in the bacteria danger zone, and 90C is damaging to a lot of fabrics. My towels would fade under the high heat, and it takes so much energy to heat the water.
Jizz?
Lucky I only wear black clothes;)
I haven’t had new clothes in years. This shit don’t matter on old clothes, it all goes in the same wash for me. I will even throw 2 cap fulls of bleach into its compartment every now and then and nothing happens. It’s to diluted once it mixes with the water to mess it up and you still get that nice clean bleach smell after.
Shout makes these things called Color Catchers. They’re little cloth sheets that go into the washer and absorb color that makes it into the wash. They work surprisingly well!
