only until it becomes popular enough. Although I will say that Yuzu flew too close to the sun, not saying all the maintainers, but several of them were openly for piracy and for the latest generation stuff. That’s stuff that will get you taken down immediately. Fly under the radar, keep it about older games, and usually no one cares. They started taking a bite out of switch profits though, and that wasn’t good for big N

Are you looking for clones or backups of later builds. You can find builds on torrents and mega links.

I have copies of Yuzu but at this point I have banned everything Nintendo. The main reason their stuff was emulated was because players loved the games and wanted to preserve them. Nintendo’s litigiousness has been a tremendous turnoff.

Fuck Nintendo. Not even if pirated.

      Support indie devs.

Nintendo is going to be the company that makes or breaks the legitimacy of the DMCA. If it wasn’t for the DMCA they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on as they’ve lost in court several times before.

Honestly I think they’re going to start having problems in places like Europe if Nintendo can be classified as a “gatekeeper” on their locked down hardware.

Alright everybody, let’s make the Switch 2 the next WiiU.

No purchases, no recommendations to relatives. If anyone you know asks if you think they should get one for their kids for Christmas: nah it’s basically just the switch but WAY more expensive.

If the current maintainers’ efforts are now spread across 5x uncoordinated repositories, and compatibility is disrupted for new titles as a result, then it’s a success for Nintendo. Keeping copies around is trivial, sure, but the number of people who actually know what to do with that code AND are willing to wade into the copyright battleground is probably a lot less than what some people here are hoping for.
