  • Sunseri received widespread online support after his conviction and appeared on various podcasts telling his story. The hashtag “Free Michelino” also became prominent among the trail running community on social media.

Before the pardon, prosecutors agreed to seek dismissal if Sunseri completed 60 hours of community service and a course on wilderness stewardship, according to Sunseri’s attorneys. He had originally faced a fine of $5,000 and a lifetime ban from Grand Teton National Park.

The guy cheated and violated the National Park rules meant to preserve the Park. On top of that, he’s an “influencer” who was filming the run even though he knew it wasn’t allowed. He was going to get a slap on the wrist.

“Free Michelino”. He wasn’t imprisoned. Maybe, the original punishment of 1000 hours of community service was severe. But, they were trying to send a message because he’s an “influencer“.

If you’re gonna broadcast your life for attention, I think it’s fair to expect full punishment when you break the rules.

  • I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want to avoid your MIL. I also think it’s reasonable for your wife to maintain the relationship.

Can you use her visit as excuse to take a vacation—alone or with friends—or visit your family? Given the circumstances, I think avoidance is a perfectly valid option. Get some you time if your wife is cool with it.

Waiting for a toilet seat to be delivered is really more efficient than getting one in the mean time while you’re already away from home in your car? Or out to dinner near the home store?

Only IF you drive and it’s the only thing you go shopping for and the only reason to drive.

If you really can’t plan your shopping trips efficiently then, maybe.

Walk. Bike. Stop on the way home from work.

I can understand Amazon or other online stores for some things but toilet seats?

Come on people. At a physical store you can actually touch a toilet seat and know what it feels like. I guarantee no one needs a particular brand of toilet seat. Also, toilets seats are relatively dense. It’s environmentally unfriendly to have them shipped home.

    This applies to many products.
