to be fair, that is the whole point of the game, its competitive, i miss lightbikes on iphone, was a fun ripoff with new mechanics like 3d maps (multiple rotated planes lol), jumping, and boosting, added a lot to the game

dil@piefed.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Roblox Retaliates Against Child Abuse Survivor Who Exposed Platform's Predator ProblemEnglish7·5 days agolike it’s possible yes, but ppl act like that means it is a great game engine that everyone should use, sure it’s possible, but it’s likely not any easier than using unity/unreal engine, s@box hopefully will take some of their base since you can eventually publish your own games without any fees.
dil@piefed.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Roblox Retaliates Against Child Abuse Survivor Who Exposed Platform's Predator ProblemEnglish2·5 days agovrchat is also like this + furries, they also kinda groom them into furries by not allowing them into their exclusive clubs and kinda bullying them into being one, saw a video on it, discord cults too
Maybe the future of this is platforms like S@box letting ppl make their own mp games and having them be accessible from one location. Probably not realistic, but would be sick if all these fossgames had one portal/serverbrowser to access them from. I think there is something for doom that is essentially that?
that looks fun, never heard of it
is that unvanquished? Played a game of that, couldnt find one again

dil@piefed.zipto Linux@programming.dev•Steam data reveals PC gamers shifting from Windows to LinuxEnglish1·6 days agoCachyos is great if you want access to everything, debtap for the rare ocassion you need to install a deb, can install snaps and flatpak support easily, but you don’t really need to mess with all that, mostly everything is available with aur + flathub (have to do one terminal line since cachyos doesn’t have it by default)
Bazzite does have bazaar by default, which i like as the best flathub appstore, aur version stopped working for me.
dil@piefed.zipto Linux@programming.dev•Steam data reveals PC gamers shifting from Windows to LinuxEnglish2·6 days agohonestly i see pacman/yay just as much as I see other stuff when looking at instructions, (paru is pacman/yay in cachyos for that stuff, pacman in cachyos is their own repos)
dil@piefed.zipto Linux@programming.dev•Steam data reveals PC gamers shifting from Windows to LinuxEnglish2·6 days agoif you miss iphone + cydia, gnome + extensions is max dopamine, plus with arcmenu (customizable start menu, many presets) and dash to panel (panel like windows/kde) it’s basically like any other de.
cachyos, post install click install gaming packages, in steam goto compotability switch it to proton cachyos, done, there is no struggle, it grabs heroic and lutris too for non steam stuff
Arch feels more like windows because I like keeping everything up to date, cachyos because I dont want to spend an hour finding the gaming packaged and I like the preinstalled apps + de options. Plus aur is great just need to add flathub support real quick and its great.
Lot of bootloader options too, I like limine since its clean and easy to swap lernels, also one click to setup btrfs snapshots after install which also show up in limine with no extra setup.

Has to be fake, or he just heard the word flow state somewhere and misunderstood it’s meaning, lol
