One time when I still played WoW, some random dude in Trade Chat was looking for an arena partner. I volunteered, but told him I was super hungover. He suggested I start drinking again. So I told him to hold on, drove to the store, bought a 12 pack, and got back on WoW with a cold beer in my hand. He said he’s already drunk and stoned, so we didn’t expect much success. Man! We pushed 2v2 to 1800 rating in just a few hours! I think this was during Cataclysm, so 1800 was a pretty respectable rating, and it opened up some new arena gear for purchase. We tried again the next day, but the groove was gone and we never saw that kind of success again. I guess that’s not exactly what your meme is about, but it’s a great memory that your meme jogged for me. Somehow that day we were the perfect level of inebriated to just go with the flow of the battle, and be perfectly in-sync with each other. Good times.
