I like both the web novel and the manga. The novel is pretty long (17 Japanese LN volumes at the moment) so I expect this anime to just scratch the surface of the story (not that it has so much depth though, just a normal power fantasy).

That Takumi started to make his fortune by making washing toilets is amusing and I liked that it gave us a glimpse of the QoL of the fantasy world, but it might get him into trouble because light magic was monopolized by the church.

Edit: if you liked this you should check out the manga. It wasn’t obvious but these two episodes rushed through the introduction (to quickly get to the other characters I presume). For example in the anime it seemed that Takumi only stayed in the village for a few days when it was actually much longer (so he had time to learn and practice several production skills). It condensed so much that we already went past the first manga volume.
