How is kneeling during the anthem political but playing the national anthem not?

It’s been years since I’ve gone to church, but there used to be a lot of kneeling every sunday.
I wonder if anyone has let them know how disrespectful it is to protest and bring politics into church. 🤔

Well, considering Murica is a Christian nation, it’s fine for politics to be brought into church (and vice versa) as long as it’s my religion /s
