It looks like they’re getting rid of the grass that was under the seating area. They’re also putting French drains around that gathering area.

The roses and topiaries are still there, they’re just redoing the area where the chairs and tables go.

This is landscaping change is pretty low on my lists of concerns about Trump. I have a lot of greenery in my yard, and I also put gravel and stone under the seating areas.

I agree. I despise Trump. But removing a lawn and putting in hardscape, in a spot where people often gather for events, is not an insult to heritage or anything like that.

If a president that I otherwise liked did this, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

It’s not as if a lawn is super environmentally valuable. And I doubt people spread picnic blankets and play Frisbee on this lawn - they put chairs on it and walk on it with heels and hold events and stuff. A hard surface is the right thing for that type of use.

And if a future president decides to put lawn back in, they can! It’s not as blades of grass and sandy growing medium are irreplaceable.

Ah if it’s just grass, fine. I hate grass. Always needing water or it’s gonna catch fire. And allergies to go around. Grass can go.

Let’s save all the outrage for cutting Medicare, starting wars. That’s where my ragebait is.

I know, I know, he’s just paving over the grass, who gives a shit, but if you keep reading:

Are there more White House renovation plans? Yes, Trump has shared plans to build a $100 million ballroom, similar to his private Mar-A-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.

FYI that means Trump dictate your actions and you are giving him control over some of your actions/beliefs.

While he lies and flips his position and generally doesn’t give any fucks at all about being a hypocrite.

Please don’t turn your brain off whenever Trump does something.

“Just inspected the site of the new Ballroom that will be built, compliments of a man known as Donald J. Trump, at the White House,” he began in a post on Truth Social earlier this month.

"For 150 years, Presidents, and many others, have wanted a beautiful Ballroom, but it never got built because nobody previously had any knowledge or experience in doing such things — But I do, like maybe nobody else, and it will go up quickly, and be a wonderful addition, very much in keeping with the magnificent White House itself.

He is so fucking full of himself it’s almost unbelievable. I’m sure this will turn out just as well as the wall that’s being built and paid for by Mexico.

Cosmetic injustices like this are an intentional distraction from the regime’s attempts to steal all public funds, kill Americans who need Medicaid, continue their ethnic cleansing campaign at home and support Israel and Russia’s ongoing genocides.

Dunno man, he and Elon are having quite the “will they, won’t they ruin America” moment right now. He’ll be solo for a bit.

The rose gardes deco has gotten controversy, but a green space seems way better then drab concrete. Such a tall flagpole wont even be seen in press conferences. I bet he got stuck in some mud and got mad, and the flag pole is a vain attempt to say hes got a huge pole…

That really is all there is to it. Dude can barely navigate stairs. Actually walking on grass after rain makes him look dopy and his ego can’t handle it

Concrete holds a LOT of heat. A summer news appearance on it with normal hear heat, humidity, lights could cause heat exhaustion or stroke, since the very young and elderly body temperatures have trouble regulating.

Melania was expected to do something with it and she had no interest. This reflected poorly on her in a lot of people’s expectations, and so the two of them were like “fuck the rose garden.” End of story. The Trumps will never have class so they figure no one else can either.

Don’t worry! Once the newly poured concrete has cured, they’re going to cover it in gold tin foil and it’ll be fabulous.

Is this just to lower the property value? I thought Trump understood things about real estate.
