They are just so poorly programmed that they don’t use the normal mechanisms. Everything has to be reimplemented to work in that app.
If you don’t think of a basic feature in the beginning, you have a very bad time.
And since a lot of SPAs nowadays are programmed as “App”. They do not even have the concept of multiple tabs.
I am using an open source tool where there is an open ticket for years to make opening a link in a new tab possible. But because of the multi platform framework it seems very much impossible to implement.
