How can you do that to your loving pet? The pet doesn’t deserve to be out there alongside you, in the cold, struggling and suffering over some of the poor decisions you’ve made in your life. They didn’t ask for this and they don’t deserve this. Give them up to adoption.

(Blocking uncivil responses. I know this magazine possesses some very argumentative people who argue just to hear themselves argue)

Counterpoint: I don’t think dogs care about being homeless. If they’re well fed and loved, sure they may prefer a soft bed, but dogs will sleep nearly anywhere without a thought. Maybe it depends on the dog - a shepherd or husky can deal with cold better than a chihuahua or something.

Also I’m just speaking about dogs. Betta fish probably don’t like being homeless. Those things will die just to assert dominance.

      LOL

bought my dog a soft fluffy bed… sleeps on the floor, my clothes or a rug instead

bed is prestine after 4 years. still as fluffy as the day I bought it. dogs don’t even care about beds, they just want a thing on the floor.
