My girlfriend before high school, had a friendship with 3 girls. Girl 1 claimed to be bi and later a lesbian but was straight and hung out with homophobic spoiled girls. Girl 2 claimed to be bi too and later an ally but then said she was actually homophobic and Christian. Girl 3 is extremely Christian, all 3 girls are Christian. She is anti-transition, defends Trump, and also wants to mass murder anti-Christians and abolish their religions or lack thereof.

None of these people seem like allies, they seem like virtue signalers.

On the most basic level it is a criticism of feelings over facts. The reason the right seems so guilty is they operate in a fact free zone that is comprised entirely of their feelings.

People struggle with who they are. This is a fact of life. It sounds like the girls you talk about are all struggling with their feelings and the feelings of their culture, friends, and probably family.

Your friends are struggling and for this reason they may not make the best Allies. You dismissing them as virtue signaling doesn’t help the situation or your understanding what they are going through.

The truth here is you are the Ally that has to support them if you choose to. It is a tough and thankless job. I have spent years supporting people to have them come out and then go back. That is just life and commitment to family and society can be too much for some people.
