Director says PC is the “foundation” when targeting “high-end environments first.”
One of the series that has died for me over the course of the years. From the bullshit exclusivity deals, to the “first on console” assholery, they killed the saga for me. That without mentioning the greed and idiocy surrounding 7 remake.
The only thing I still love from final fantasy it’s Soken’s music, but the series is going downhill really fast for me.
Even if Square continues okay, mainline FF just has such astronomical expectation for it. It’s like releasing Half-Life 7.
15 had you playing as a prince, then 16 had you playing as a Nuke victimized by political control. You can sort of see the need they felt for increasing stakes and scale of conflict.
Right there with you. FF used to be the pinnacle. The FF7R was just… Not great to me. And they couldn’t even bother to release the whole game at once or in a timely manner.
FFXVI was so boring looking to me, I never even contemplated buying it. And it was short, too, iirc. I used to dump 100-200 hours in one easy and I think it was 30-ish?
