I have these two Koreans living below me and whenever they cook I always think of ways to break in and get their food. My fridge had a six pack of beer and one slice of pizza, college days. Anyway one day I think it was a Sunnday I hear banging on my door and it’s one of the two korean chaps below. She told me to come and enjoy. But majorly got pissed off at my empty fridge. A little bit more but will leave it there.

Sharing food if you got too much with your neighbour is a thing just like many other countries. We occasionally receive some food like that from people living in other floors in the same building. I’d see it as an extension of it, though inviting people is definitely much less common.
That was probably my fault I was always raised that if someone comes over Stranger or not you ask them if they want a drink or something you can help with.
Well, neighbours are usually much more trustworthy than some strangers. Everyone gets told to not eat whatever strangers give you here too. Maybe it’s weird that neighbours are simply trusted, but I prefer that over being unnecessarily cautious.
