Oh heck no! Evercold was just recently announced. You might be thinking of Endwalker being the conclusion of the overarching story of the time. Dawntrail, the most recent expansion, is the start of a new multi-expansion story
Same with gw2 and wow but we’re talking 21, 16, and 14 year old games here lol, every “major” new MMO since those 3 has died… it’s not exactly inaccurate to call the genre dead.
Shout-out the return of Gloria Victis next week too, best pvp MMO I’ve ever played, the sieges are insane.
Speaking of ffxiv, if I had a penny for every MMO trailer with tapestry artwork I’ve seen come out this year, I’d have two pennies, etc
