I’ve been off wheels for more than two years. I loaned my parents my car, as they live in a car-centric area and I don’t, and now it’s just my Mom still living and she’s never been in a position to give it back.

congrats!! i got mine a few months ago, you’re gonna love it. get a good lock! i recommend a heavy chain. also be sure not to drain your battery below 20% ever. 30% is safer.
i live about 10km (6mi) from downtown, so I ended up adding an extra battery so I didn’t have to worry about losing power after cruising. now I get about 80km(55mi) to a charge, going about 50km/hr(35mi/hr)
Hey, thanks for the advice! Is it easy to integrate a second battery, or is this just a plug-and-play kind of deal?
Honestly, I’m strong enough to fold and carry it everywhere, so I’m not going to bother with a lock. I’d rather keep it on my person.
it wasn’t super easy, I had to buy a couple cables and adaptors, and a bag to carry the battery, which I strapped to my steering column. worth it if you need extra range.
i lock it to bike racks. not every place will let you bring it inside.
