I am in search for a game but can only find it on Steam. I did find someone on CS who had the game build that could launch without Steam but the link is long expired… Do you guys know where it is possible to find Steam less games?? I really don’t want to download Steam just to play 1 game on my laptop.

Ok, since it’s a free game, you can post the title so someone might be able to help you locate a non-steam version. But don’t get your hopes up - it may simply be unavailable.

Yeah this post seems kinda sus considering how many times they’ve avoided saying what game it is. And not wanting to use Steam at all? Steam is the one corp you can still have some trust in. I see a post like this and it reeks of them doing something most likely illegal in a bad way, or they are a bad actor trying to fuck with our shit again. Either that or they’re a weeb that’s too embarrassed to name the furry porn game they’re looking for.

Let’s not jump to conclusions here. We do have a rule against requesting specific titles, but if it’s a free title anyway then I think it’s not such a big deal in this particular case.

no pirated game needs steam to launch, maybe what you are referring to is steam teşease of a game, which is steam version being pirated, doesn’t need steam at all

You could make a copy the game files once downloaded from steam and try replacing the steam api dlls with the ones from the Goldberg emulator

The problem is that the game is free so no one cracked it and it is old and not updated so no one has it anymore.

Sooo… you are looking for an older version of the game that doesn’t require steam installed? But what if the lastest version of that game could work offline too without Steam installed but bundled with a Steam Emulator? Or maybe you still want the online functionalities too but just without installing Steam at all? Cause I need to understand what your actual problem is before I can give you a solution.

Anyways here is what I would do:

            1. Download Steam to get the game files
            2. Uninstall Steam
            3. Setup Goldberg Steam Emulator using Goldberg GUI
            4. Play the game offline (Goldberg also supports LAN if you wanna play with friends)

Any version is fine tbh the newer the better. I need the online functionalities without Steam. Someone already told abt Goldberg i might dig into it if needed but it is mainly to play with friends… I have to check all that thx for the help

Since it’s a free game, let us know the name and maybe we can point you in the direction of getting it legit.

Title should be “Steam-less games?”. The word capitalization and the spacing between “Steam” and “Less” makes no sense at all. Also, including double question-marks is over-the-top, as though your request were urgent. Its games what you’re asking for, not some medicine. Get a grasp on grammar.

Sorry for the bad grammar. But the ‘less’ at the end is a suffix of the main word here Steam. The two question marks are just a form of emphasis and no it’s not as urgent as you are perceiving it. Its a way of writing idk why it made you react as such it is a forum you don’t have to answer what doesn’t please you and sorry again for the weird request.

In either context, Steam is a noun and does not come across as a verb, particularly in the context of this community. Good luck correcting the grammar of others in future, but you’ve fallen flat here.
