I saved up and bought a reasonably beefy Mini PC, and turned it into an emulation console with Batocera. PS3 emulation runs like an absolute dream. But who needs backwards compatibility, when we can resell you the same game from 15 years ago, again, at full price???

Despite my hate for Microsoft, it is important (sometimes) to acknowledge and appreciate the good they do, such as offering backwards compatibility for games for free. Because you don’t have to repurchase a game if you already have the original media, you insert it in the new console and it does download the game, yes maybe an online only solution but far better than what Nintendo and Sony do.
