At some point in the last 4 years, I spontaneously evolved from the 11am friend into the 6am friend. I have no explanation for this.

Nope, I’m old and have evolved into an 11am friend. I keep hearing about how old people are out of bed at sparrow fart and get stuff done, but it’s never happened to me.

It primarily depends on if you have kids and their sleeping schedule as well as your job schedule. I wake up early AF, but I don’t like it. I’m a natural night owl and hate super early mornings.

First, I’d like to sincerely thank you for the term “sparrow fart.”

Second, I believe the same is happening to me. I used to leap out of bed as soon as morning light hit the room. Now I’m finding unrequested motivation to complete tasks at night, and groan at the sound of my alarm.

Lol, probably. But I’m not ready to admit that, so I’m going to blame the dogs who expect to go outside no later than 6:30 every day 😆

I effectively have been a morning person for years, but I still think my natural state is a night owl. Give me a vacation or even a long weekend and my sleeping schedule shifts to where it truly wants to be.

Yeah, same. Though even after royally screwing up my sleep schedule, I still find myself up by 7 at the latest (even if I’m still tired).

Having dogs who expect to go outside at certain times probably contributes to that. They can be very persuasive lol.

Me too. It’s easier to just stay on a schedule rather than ruin Monday (and sometimes Tuesday) by changing when I sleep on the weekends. Plus, my dog is also on a schedule and starts looking for snuggles at about 6.
