While it’s great they’re not going to somehow make it a subscription based game, I’m confused by something else now:
We are still considering skins and DLC for Palworld in future as a means to support development
Didn’t this small team just make tens of millions of dollars in sales? An amount the CEO said was “too big for a studio with our size to handle.” Why do they need more money to continue development?
Mr. Krabs, why are you making a second Krusty Krab?
If No Man’s Sky is any indication, they don’t really need more money, they just want it
No man’s sky is not really the fitting example you think it anymore. Over time the devs put in some work.
No man’s Sky still has a heart of jank, but it undeniably has a heart
That’s what I’m saying. They made bank on release and have been putting out content without any dlc or microtransactions
Has this game changed since launch? Is it still a pokemon knockoff, or has it become more than that?
If you’ve played it before, it has the same feel imo.
There’s new lands, more QoL, new pals. Nothing drastic I’ve noticed from its release state.
Think Minecraft and then Minecraft after like 3-4 updates.
I don’t really think it’s ever been a Pokemon knockoff in anything but the monster designs. And they’re not going to change all of those, so… it’s just as a much a Pokemon knockoff as it’s always been.
Apparently eleventy-bajillion dollars wasn’t enough.
