Dirac@lemmy.todayto Technology@lemmy.world•Britain jumps into bed with Palantir in £1.5B defense pactEnglish1·5 days agoWell let me just ask you a question: how much say should an AI have in the decision to kill a human being? What percentage do you think is appropriate?
Dirac@lemmy.todayto Technology@lemmy.world•Britain jumps into bed with Palantir in £1.5B defense pactEnglish1·6 days agoInstead of answering this question, I’ll direct you to some tangential research that may help you answer this question yourself. I’d like you to read a bit on different ethical frameworks (you can just wiki that one), then I’d like you to apply that to some of the openly available policies, contracts and practices of the company. At that point you should have your answer. Thank you in advance for doing your own research 😉

Dirac@lemmy.todayto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Magic the Gathering is overrated and hasn't been a good and consistent game in almost two decades.English5·7 months agoMy unpopular opinion is I don’t mind the tie ins (mostly). I remember being a kid and wanting all my favorite characters to have cards, so I’d feel bad yucking someone else’s yum just because I don’t care for a particular franchise. That being said I’m also a bit confused, op. Standards still exists. This feels like you’re saying “I don’t like Super Mario Advanced 3, because Mario Bros isn’t as good a game as Super Mario Bros 3.” Though if you said any of the following I’d agree: Wizards focuses too much on commander; changing standard rotation rules wasn’t the best idea; the last few standard sets have had somewhat ridiculous themes; using standard design space to print cards targeting commander players might muddy the standard card pool.
Nuclear pandemic initiated martial law iirc
