I’ve noticed this with modern standards. They just don’t have the same experience because nothing is actually linked. It’s all electronic. I am slowly buying and playing through the old NFS games. I just bought Carbon and I’m going to go pick up MW before it comes in. I love the Underground 1&2 but Most Wanted was special for me. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

I came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed it’s no longer a trap. No pressure plate to hold the latch bar, and the springs no longer have tension or it wouldn’t stay under the latch bar.

I enjoyed both of these when they came out. They had an amazing dark theme. The ability to move from the physical plain to the astral plain was one of the coolest concepts of the time. Unfortunately, if I’m being honest, I’ve no want to reply them unless a new game is coming out as well.
