Considering trends are started by a single dedicated schizo I’d say not hard. I’m pretty sure one very dedicated person made fit and beyond believe onions boosted test.

31·1 day agophones. I just fucken hate em. Until I can get my hands on a graphineOS pixel I will just feel like I have a spy device in my pocket. So now I just have a 6 year old one that is mostly offline playing local music and watching/listening to videos from grayjay. Once this device is dead I will have to look at getting a new one and im really not looking forward to it. I never use calling and i only use txt to receive spam and 2fa spam. Kinda want something like the mechaComet instead of a phone.

Technology@lemmy.world•Meta removes controversial AI feature on Instagram after backlashEnglish
21·1 day agoReading the article I was curious what the feature was. Then I read its been cooked up by meta’s super intelligence lab wow. Ok so what’s the feature “allow individuals to generate images by @-mentioning public Instagram accounts” Oh its just prompt to image the thing we’ve had for nearly 4 years now. Thats so fucking boring and so obviously a bad idea. Who wants ai slop spammed in the comment section? Its already half the posts. These people have unlimited money, access to one of the biggest platforms ever and thats what they come up with. These ghouls are souless they have no imagination.
I havent seen those shows but they are extremely controversial for this exact reason arent they? I dont think anyone even those who have never watched a tv show could say that was common.
While looking for some industry stats about anime to see if there was anything on this specifically. Given that majority of anime takes place in a setting where the characters are underaged and majority of the anime consumers are adult men and from what I hear fan service tropes are extremely common. So I guess it just comes down to how common that fan service actually is and which characters receive the fan service. Because I really have no idea how common fanservice is and just have to go off what people say.
If you are an anime watcher do you think fan service is common? I asked my weeb friend and they said not as much these days as it used to be but still common. But they’re also a degen so maybe there is bias.
I don’t understand what your previous comment intention was.
As a TV watcher its not. There a very very few children being sexualized.
I dont watch anime but doesnt the majority of anime have at least one sexualised child in it?

Linux@programming.dev•Windows Drops Under 60% in Global Desktop OS Share for the First Time in Years
2·5 days agoOk its still dominated by windows. I’m hoping the trend of switching to linux continues but I’m still realistic about the situation. Which is that windows is not losing a huge marketshare. They are still comfortably in the lead and growing in the areas they actually care about.

2·6 days agoNZ and still NZ nothing against other countries but I just don’t like the way people are compared to how they are here. Its not about niceness people overseas are much nicer. Comforts of home I guess. I’d maybe move from Auckland to Dunedin again or to smaller 100k town in the north island.
