Today you may be a youth, but you will be an old someday.
“The rule in question, known as Bredt’s rule in textbooks, was reported in 1924. It states that molecules cannot have a carbon-carbon double bond at the ring junction of a bridged bicyclic molecule, also known as the “bridgehead” position. The double bond on these structures would have distorted, twisted geometrical shapes that deviate from the rigid geometry of alkenes taught in textbooks.
…A paper published by UCLA scientists in the journal Science has invalidated that idea. They show how to make several kinds of molecules that violate Bredt’s rule, called anti-Bredt olefins, or ABOs, allowing chemists to find practical ways to make and use them in reactions.”
Joker: Folie à Deux.
The first movie was not about Joker, it is about Arthur. Joker is the unfortunate identity he takes on as a result of the events of the first film. But at the end of the day, he was just a guy. He was delighted but bewildered at the people rallying behind him.
!Folie a Deux picks up is after the police inevitably apprehend Arthur. He is on medication, and speaking to a mental health professional regularly. He doesn’t want to be Joker, but everyone around him expects him to be. The tragedy of the ending is that Arthur rejects the love and admiration he has earned, knowing it will not redeem him to the people who hate and fear him now. He chooses to be completely alone and powerless to stop hurting people.!<
As far as the musical numbers went, they were infrequent and clearly a representation of the connection between Arthur and Lee. There was at least one scene where we view Arthur from the perspective of onlookers after he finished singing and dancing, but all they saw was him staring at a TV or something. I always felt like the songs added to character development, but even if they weren’t your thing they were brief and heavily outweighed by scenes with just dialogue.
I prefer the original poster. The new poster still looks like Wicked to me, and I would be disappointed if it recreated the original exactly. The fan edit is fun, I like it, but I understand artists from current year who made the modern poster would want to make a statement different than artists from when the original came out.
Everyone is making art, why do we have to be mad about that?
What color was the ball?
Grey, I suppose? It wasn’t important until this question so it was kind of colorless, even though I could picture it.
What gender was the person that pushed the ball?
Androgynous.
What did they look like?
Nondescript.
What size is the ball? Like a marble, or a baseball, or a basketball, or something else?
A bit larger than a softball.
What about the table, what shape was it? What is it made of?
It was a rectangular table. It shifted from being smooth and grey to a lightly finished maple, then back again.
Important question:
I didn’t really think about these details until asked.
They have a skill floor that you need to overcome, usually early on. Once you do that, the formula for the rest of the game follows suit.
Bloodborne is my favorite souls game. If you find it too challenging, I’d recommend watching some let’s plays which can have great advise. I don’t typically watch his channel, but Jacksepticeye has a really informative playthrough. He’s beaten the game so many times that he mostly just shows you the cheesy speed run methods for boss fights, however.
30mph (48kmh) is the minimum, cars will also be going faster than that. Also, people need to cross the street, not just walk alongside it. Regardless, whether drivers or pedestrians are the issue, accidents happen. They are more likely to happen, and more likely to be fatal as vehicle speed increases.
From the Institute for Road Safety Research, page 2:
“According to an overview of recent studies (Rósen et al., 2011): at a collision speed of 20 km/h nearly all pedestrians survive a crash with a passenger car; about 90% survive at a collision speed of 40 km/h, at a collision speed of 80 km/h the number of survivors is less than 50%, and at a collision speed of 100 km/h only 10% of the pedestrians survive.”
Areas with minimum speeds of 30mph in areas with pedestrians accept that at least 1 in 10 will die. This is easily reduced to negligible fatalities by having lower speed limits. Not doing so says we care more about saving some of the drivers’ time than the lives of pedestrians.
My thoughts aren’t in a language, so this always confused me as a benchmark.
I live on the edge of a small town. Google numbers:
I’ll leave this here. Good resource for evaluating news sources as you come across them also.
I haven’t played it myself, but I understand there are mods to remove nudity at least, and I would expect the sexual violence as well. That would be a requirement for me to try it.
Fear and Hunger is a contender. If you aren’t aware, imagine a JRPG where you kill god at the end, but you don’t ever level up. Also the first enemy you fight is very likely to kill you, and has just as much of a chance of doing so on your 100th playthrough. Oh, and you start from the beginning every time you die.
Health, vision, and dental are all separate in the US.
We all have a visceral reaction to this because we’ve had an adjacent experience at some point. You know it’s true.
If they could do this, it would be a good idea. It’s just not possible.
A while back some Texas lawmakers wanted to offer a reward for turning in women seeking out of state abortions. I think that’s what the commenter is referring to.
The best tip I can give is to idle on a flat service with the clutch in, and slowly release it until the car starts moving. Your first time, do not touch the gas at all. Once you understand when the clutch “bites”, practice lightly adding some gas to the bite. Once you get the car moving, the rest of the gears are easy by comparison.
My dad spent a whole Saturday with me as a kid frustrated that I didn’t just “get it”. The next weekend I practiced by myself and did the above method and figured it out in about 15 minutes.
Just called mine! I probably sounded like an ignoramus, but hopefully I said enough intelligible buzz words.
