What makes it even more crazy is 90% of projects are using github/gitlab/gitea or some other modern git platform that literally has a wiki feature built in. And everyone and their dog either knows or could very quickly learn how to use markdown to write the wiki.
If you want a chatroom at least use matrix as it’s open source and privacy respecting. Though IRC is better for a community. And good old forums are best.

I’m by no means an expert, but how is it the phone can still make emergency calls if it has zero contact with the network if it’s simless? Seems like a solution that isn’t actually one, especially if you consider stuff like IMIE numbers.
And I’m sure if I could be bothered to look into this solution I would be right.
Plus most tracking and privacy violations work just as well if not better via WiFi.
Sure they should be allowing it, but anyone who cares about digital privacy and freedom that’s still using apple devices kinda deserves what they get at this point.

As a DWM user I won’t be moving for a long time. Yes I know about DWL, but it dosnt have half the patches I use yet.
I do like the lower amount of screen tearing on Wayland, but I’ve minimised it in Xorg.

The only thing I pay for is Crunchyroll. As for me it’s worth it as I get tons of stuff the watch for £5 a month and it’s also pretty easy to rip anything exclusive. And then I don’t feel like I’m giving nothing back to Japan when I pirate anything they don’t have I want.
I also pay for a VPS, but I’d say that’s renting more then it is a subscription.

Honesty at this point I don’t really care about Linux becoming mainstream. I mean call me elitist, but I feel like if it became a major desktop operating system a lot of the development would turn to making sure it’s safe for IT illiterate people to use.
Part of why I love Linux so much is as someone who actually has a decent idea of what I’m doing I feel like the operating system leaves me alone to do what I want with my own computer.
Do you really think if everyone started using Linux you’d still be able to delete the boot loader or wipe your whole installation with one command.
Of course not! They would have to fit 10 million safety features and limit a ton of what the user can do just like Windows and MacOS.
So as much as I love Linux I think it’s best being left as an advanced power users desktop operating system.
Basically people will call really visually pleasing things within a hobby porn. Like on some places online you can find food porn, which is simply really delicious looking food that’s nicely presented( Yes it’s kinda an edgy joke to call it porn).
But it’s not made to be sexual and no one except maybe 0000000000.1% of people( I don’t want to think about it) probably get turned on by it.
