One could easily spend more time trying to measure 1.905 cm vs very quickly dividing 1 into 3/4".

If the standard is written in Metric, the factory that makes the parts uses metric, and the place where the parts are used uses metric, why don’t they just use 2cm screws instead?

Your argument for the convenience of imperial is that the standard uses imperial. No shit. It would be just as hard to cut something to 0.787" inches if the standard were in metric.

Also the reason metric makes more sense is I don’t need a calculator to convert centimeters to kilometres. You need a calculator to convert inches to miles. AND you have to memorise the conversion factor! What a waste of brainpower

  • He’s still Batman. He does detective stuff, doesn’t have superpowers, Gotham is appropriately grimdark, etc. Terry doesn’t have to learn that with great power comes great responsibility like Peter does. The only similarity is that he’s a working class wisecracking teenager with a somewhat agility based fighting style. Peter Parker was never a burly hoodlum before he got his powers, and he doesn’t see being a superhero as a way to make up for mistakes he made as a normal. He also didn’t steal his powers. Terry is a much more mature and slightly darker character than Peter at the start of his journey. He’s not an academically minded geek, he’s someone who’s experienced the real world and understands it. He’s got street smarts, he can fight, and he can lie.

Oh, well then you’re using the wrong words to describe things. What you mean is, you’re not interested in extremist politics. It doesn’t sound like you have a problem with moderate politics.

Here’s an example of some moderate politics: I want to watch the new season of Star Trek Prodigy with my partner, but my partner wants to run a load test on its CPU to check for problems. Turns out my partner can’t be in a voice chat while running the load test, I won’t be able to hear it. So I told it that it should finish its load test and message me when it’s ready to watch TV. That’s politics. A group of people had to make a decision, and we did. I made the decision and my partner accepted it, because my partner trusts me with political power and I place importance on my partner’s needs.

(Also my partner does not yet know there is a new season of Prodigy. I’m planning to surprise it!)
