  • Not OP, but organizing support groups, or joining one already around does help some. It does not help everyone.

I’ve been to a couple AA meetings and wow. After the meetings is the time I felt like I needed a drink the most. They still make the addiction everything in their life, but it’s the inverse. They eat sweets (because they aren’t consuming sugars for alcohol, so the body craves it) and talk about alcohol all day. Hearing these stories drives me toward the problem.

I would rather focus my time and attention on something else. Start any random hobby or pick a topic and learn about it. Idk. You’re trying to kill time so you don’t make bad choices so fill your time with good choices. Like crochet and then mail me a blanket. It gets cold sometimes.

Not who you asked but the restaurant makes great food and has awesome service. Best chicken sandwich in the fast food world. They have waffle fries and good lemonade.

That about ends that. The reason a lot of people boycott them is because they have donated to anti-LGBT+ causes (conversation therapy) and other hate fueled political agendas that people don’t like.

I think The Good Place said it best:

Eleanor: Yeah, there are booby traps everywhere. Like, there’s this chicken sandwich that if you eat it, it means you hate gay people. And it’s delicious.

Judge: It is. It is so good.

  • Lemmy is being dramatic. Not that it’s impossible, but the US will recall all the recent eas’d active duty members first. It will have to be a drawn out war before they start talking about enstating the draft.

If you haven’t heard about vets getting recalled then the draft isn’t anywhere near close to an idea. Why train new people when you can recall already trained ones?

  • Speaking the truth. We made it super easy to get calories and we like comfort. You need to make it an actual lifestyle change and not just a diet to lose weight. I didn’t take my nutrition or weight lifting seriously until my 40s. I got in better shape then when I was active duty and I really didn’t care what I ate.

Also my sleep greatly improved when my diet and exercise were pushing me. I had zero problems getting to sleep and staying asleep.

I need to get serious about it again.
