You can buy blank Blu-ray discs in capacities of 25GB, 50GB, and 100GB. The maximum capacity of a Blu-ray is 128GB, and they can only be found in Japan. Sony Group Japan is the only company in the world that manufactures 128GB Blu-rays. This could be bad news for data hoarders…

Other studios envy them for sure. Hollywood feels a lot of nostalgia for the 2019 box office year, they probably have lots of anxiety that audiences won’t go back to theaters. It’s an embarrassment that they haven’t been able to entice people back to cinemas, so the studios will do anything to keep these feeling of ennui at bay.
