Putting the sauce in awesome.

Quote posting is already available on Misskey, Friendica, and Akkoma.
Threads also has that feature, and they use the same standard as Misskey.
Even Mastodon clients like Icecubes and Phanpy do quite posting.
At this point, it makes no sense to wait on Mastodon to implement features.
Okay, for context, this means that Lemmy has gained 4.4K MAUs over last month.
Not bad.
Hey, where are you getting these stats from? I ask because FediDB is down.
You don’t need to wait on Mastodon to do it.
Obviously, I’m not talking about you specifically – Threadiverse devs generally.
For example, some of this functionality already exists on Friendica.
Right now, you can crosspost to a Friendica group by mentioning the group actor handle (ex: @fediversenews@venera.social
. And because Friendica supports quoted boosts, you can boost to a Friendica group through this method.
Lemmy could easily support this feature.
I’m not suggesting that you sell your DIY GOG package to someone else. I’m suggesting you do that for yourself.
It really would be so much easier to just boost Mastodon posts into a Lemmy community.
On every retrogaming forum I’ve ever been on, this has been a topic and it’s been a topic for at least 15 years. A few practical bits of advice:
Of course it’s discouraging because any deviation from a norm requires change, and people by their nature hate change.
But I’ve been on the Fediverse for quite a few years, and nothing moves the needle like stubbornness.
Yeah, it’s the name of both the character and the game.
Marlow Briggs. It’s kind of like God of War but way more funny.
Be the change. Start discussing those things, and others will eventually discuss it with you.
Unnoticed? Not at all. The Guinness World of Records recognizes this game as the first to “utilise basic stealth game mechanics”.

I happen to disagree with them, but they certainly noticed.
The reason you’ve never played this game is because it didn’t have a dedicated cabinet. It used the Raster Scan Convert-a-Game system. Which means many of the cabinets that were once used for this game no longer host it. And if that’s not enough 005 never got a home port.
It is also highly likely Konami knew about 005 since this game was developed and made by SEGA, got great reviews upon its release, and well, Metal Gear used its mechanics.
I wrote a really extensive review of this game right here.
To me, this is a true hidden gem. I know that term gets abused quite a lot, but not a whole lot of people know about this one. Yet it’s one of the most memorable 3D platformers I’ve played in awhile.
This is my favourite kart racing series.
