My main problem is the lack of discoverability. Maybe the content is just not there, but even if it is I don’t think I’d be able to find it. And I regularly try.

YouTube, obviously. And peertube is not it.

Nothing makes sense anymore. People will buy anything if it’s just hyped up and rare enough, without any regard to it’s utility or intrinsic value. Everything has become bored apes.

And I don’t mean to dunk on the steam machine itself, it is a good device for a particular niche. But at twice the price? That’s perfectly ridiculous.

I never liked Nvidia. Their software felt overbearing and intrusive even in the early days. And their hardware lacked elegance, they just always threw more power at their chips. I’m not suprised by anything they’ve done, from the complete pivot to AI chips to the complete lack of reasonable Linux support to this very day. It’s not that AMD are angels, but Nvidia was always very clearly an asshole company, laser focused on short term profits over anything else.

Empathy. How is this so hard to grasp?

I had high hopes for GTA IV, especially with the character’s background. But the actual game and characters just completely fell flat for me.

Oh man, I envy you.

I really wanted one, but at this price point I can build a considerably more capable mATX PC. If I had a living room screen I might consider it, but as a pure gaming PC it doesn’t work for me.

They’ll come back.

Well, maybe we’ll get another animated space action short out of it, which is entertaining in it’s own right. I wouldn’t hold my breath for an actual release.

Doing the station-to-planet transition was pretty cool as a novelty, though.

I backed the initial kickstarter with around 20 bucks, just enough to get Squadron 42. I regret nothing, the entertainment from just watching the whole thing unfold was totally worth it. Anyone spending anything more on it might have a bad time.

Yeah, they can shove these “features” where the sun don’t shine. I don’t need any of this and I’m keeping a keen eye on Linux phone development.
