It actually seems legit! How well this will scale to production and actual use is unclear though
I’ve done ease in technique in Journaling if basically starting off with almost random gibberish and then rolling into actual journal content. For this to work you really need to just sit down and starting doodling or typing and eventually your mind sets into a mode where you want to write something actually meaningful!
The data is still valuable and most importantly it’s a way to spy on any visitor.
You shouldn’t drink poop water my friend
As an European living in Asia and can’t help but cringe at American cars. They’re so far behind. And it’s the car country. Japan has better cars and better rail. Embarassing.
Tbf notoriously China subsidizes BYD to net loss so its not exactly capitalism.
Subnautica 2 must be in a pretty dire spot for this to happen. I guess we’ll see as the story unrolls and early access comes eventually but I’ve met many successful people who stopped caring after they made it big (which is fine but then just quit) so I really wouldn’t be surprised if the publisher is right here.
Lmao as usual gamers rush in with outrage and turns out the issue is not that simple.
It’s the toughest problem for this very reason but thats why freedom of competition is critical here. We can allow systems to self correct through incentives and protections and thats exactly what most western democracies are doing!
Diversity has been hijacked as a ideological word but its literally the best and most sustainable long term strategy even in rigid markets like investment (I.e. hedging, index funds etc). So diversifying power, despite blocking, is really powerful despite what current autocrat wannabes want us to believe.
Will it though? Looking at China, Russia or Iran I’m not so certain. In fact it seems to be regressing without anyone actively working for progress.
Theres definitely some risk especially in semi-anonymous forums like Lemmy. For example Lemmy.world is blocking VPNs so they know everyone’s IP addresses and given post history etc its very easy to actually identify who’s who. Especially now with AI forensics.
That being said, as a security expert, I think it’s not always productive for casual people to be obsessed with this and you if you can you should use a VPN or a mobile network which due to how cell towers work is much more anonymous than anything else in practice (datacenter IPs work too as well as TOR but those are blocked in practice)
Someone was asking about “vignette glasses” on /c/asklemmy
Gamifying altruism kinda works
Surely thats not applicable in most of the world.
I’m confused whats the alternative here? Even in Japan you’d hire a taxi if you have a full load of groceries you’re not taking the train.
I think we can rule that out just by sheer reasoning. If this tech existed it would be discovered by another life forms already and we’d likely never exist. Unless we are first to being to discover such tech.
But either way thats not how quantum computers work even if we speculate in that direction.
