I bought a physical copy for PC, and now it’s tied to my EA account so I can play it without the disc. So maybe if you find a copy on eBay?

I contemplated not commenting at all, but OP is clearly going through it with this boss and will probably be very disappointed after eventually getting through it and realising it was all for nothing. It would save them a lot of time and energy to just abandon the boss and dive in to the manual, which I think is far and away the best part of the game. That’s what I did and I’m so glad. I also don’t know how to convey this to OP without telling them, so it’s buried in spoiler tags which they can choose to read if they want.

You don’t need to beat the final boss to beat the game. In fact, you don’t get the proper ending if you do beat the boss.
Interesting take. Honestly I don’t think people are ready to entertain the idea that Valve may not the consumer loving, cannot-shoot-themsleves-in-the-face billion dollar tech company their fans seem to paint them as, but to respond to your actual point…
The Steam deck is an open platform so not a guarantee that a new user will result in game sales, it’s possible (but not easy enough imo) to put your weekly free Epic games on there and forego the Steam store. Or pirated games.
Also the Switch 2 sales numbers have been huge and Nintendo have an established reputation among the general population. So they have a better relationship with parts manufacturers (can navigate lower BOMs) and are more guaranteed to make their money back. Valve have no such guarantee.
This price increase is still an obscene amount and I’ll be surprised if people still buy Steam decks going forward. Especially given the state and direction of android gaming.

Wait, what? It doesn’t work with non-steam games?
Do you think they started working on Black Flag only after the Shadows reception? Game development takes a lot longer than that.
I need to point out the irony of the song being anti-religion but the comic having Marley, Ghandi and MLK Jr as happy faces for this “better world”. I wonder if this irony is lost on the artist, or this is some deep layer rage-bait.
42·3 months agoI get why they have PDFs of their menu, but just transcribe that to a page on the site. It’s really not hard. My phone downloads folder is full of these.
Absolutely agree. My main thought regarding having AI commentators would mean that it could be reactive and fluid, actually incorpating names and actions in a dynamic manner. But it’s just canned responses on repeat to save paying a human to do it. Before they revealed it was AI, I thought it was bad and stilted on purpose. Like some sort of joke, but it’s just plain bad.

Yeah, but imagine a game where you play as Sonic the Hedgehog in A Turn-Based Rock Tour RPG Set in an Alien-Infested 1984.
Oh right, it has nothing to do with Sonic the Hedgehog.
How so? What are they doing wrong? They even fly in the first level to get the coins. Bear in mind this is a proof of concept not a speed run.
