Don’t threaten me with a good time.
Begging the question is when you assert a conclusion without addressing a question. This is not that.

Far Cry 2 is really underrated imho.

It is the article, to be fair.

Lots of devs do this. Naughty Dog, who for a long while was exclusive to Playstation, loves to put Playstations in their games.

I actually find that the save methods of a game can influence its vibe. It might sound really dumb to everyone else here, but I don’t think Stardew would be quite the same game if you could save at any time. I think that’s true of some other games, too.

and somehow it wins “Best Ongoing Building” every year.
Except it doesn’t. It’s been nominated for Stream’s Labour of Love award six times in the past ten years, and never won it. In fact it’s never won any Steam Awards. It won Best Ongoing at the Game Awards twice, out of a decade of being ongoing, and it won a similar award from PC Gamer once.

Curious what they said would be in No Man’s Sky that isn’t now in it.
Obligatory To The Moon mention.
Great visual and anecdotally I wholly agree.

I’ve been using Nova for, gods, something like five years now or more.
What are some good ones these days? When I started using Nova, it was very highly recommended.
There’s much more to GDQ than that, for the record! Of course it’s all about going fast, yes, but there are categories that don’t allow glitches, 100% runs that even with glitches showcase a lot of the game, and on the main events they have been including more and more showcase runs. My favourite this past AGDQ was the Super Mario 64 70 Star, 70 Person relay.

Oh my gosh, looks so much like my dog I actually did a double take.

That’s a strange choice.
Games Done Quick has a QWOP mini game that pops up between runs where chat controls the runner by typing their desired commands!
I agree in principle, but the article is worded in possibly the worst way to get this across. It should be more along the lines of “don’t spend beyond your means”.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. There’s a ton of evidence out there that whether you like it or not these kinds of thumbnails are effective at driving views.
Eh… I like Steve for the most part, but he does complain a lot on top of his reporting.

So, I think you’re bang on here. The exports reveal that the info is included like so:
item1.X-ABDATE:20160302
item1.X-ABLabel:Death
My cursory searching tells me that this isn’t outside of the CardDAV/vCard spec per se, but that the X- signifies “extension”, aka basically, info that is being included but may only be read by apps that specifically know to look for it.
Now I need to decide if I’d rather have them show up as death anniversaries on my android calendar but not show up at all on my desktop clients, or redo those dates to be maybe a note or something though then they won’t sync to a calendar, or remove it entirely from the contact and instead just have it as an event on my calendar that repeats. Hmm…
Thanks for the idea though, it got me to look at the file itself which was very helpful!
Not only that, baguettes go great with lots of cheeses.
