usajobs.org should be usajobs.gov
usajobs.org should be usajobs.gov
Everyone in my family, from my elderly parents to my kid have switched to buckwheat over the past decade or so. Every single one of them loves it. That’s just anecdotal, but for me it was completely worth it.
This is what most of the schools around my area installed a couple years ago:
I think the most important context is minimum wage.
In 1982 a full-time job making $3.35 an hour is pulling in approx $6,700 a year. Or 14% of the price of a house.
In 2022, that same worker, working the same number of hours at minimum wage $7.25 an hour is bringing in $14,500 a year. Or 3.5% the price of a house.
The same for groceries. THAT is the fucked up part. It’s what happens when people seem OK with 50 trillion dollars going from the bottom 90% to the top 1% over the past several decades.
You can look up the man page for date
. I’m not sure if that’ll do, but it’s pretty easy. Something like date --set="1 MAY 18:00:00"
as root.
Ah, my bad. I saw the systemd timers thing, and not knowing much about systemd I figured that was an alternative closer to at than cron. Looks like it’s more of another unneeded replacement. I use at all the time and only really edit my cron a few times a year. I’d think that I’d learn to read entire articles before commenting.
I always wonder why at
isn’t mentioned more in these types of articles.
When I have that happen, it’s usually someone (I’m guessing on iPhone), sending an attachment to a group thread. It shows up in the group thread, but then it’ll pop up in that person’s individual thread and give me that warning. Not sure if that’s what’s going on. I think it also sometimes happens if I’m using the browser on my desktop for messages.
As Kris Kristofferson wrote, and Janis Joplin sang,“Freedom’s just another word, for nothing left to lose.”
I edited my config, and it changed the font size next time I opened kitty. I’m not sure what is happening to you, other than maybe having the config file not where it’s expected.
Did you remove the #
at the start of the font_size
setting?
I’m sure you’ve seen it many times, but I love Bill Hick’s take on marketing.
Well that sure sounds like a bunch of marketing gobbledygook.
I guess when/if I buy another car, I’ll look into gov’t fleet auctions.
DARE came to my HS in the mid-late 80s. A cop was standing at a table with various things on it. One of which was a big bag of weed. I said,“Damn! That’s a big bag of weed!” The cop replied, totally seriously,“THAT’S ENOUGH WEED TO KILL YOU!!!” My friends and I just laughed and walked away.
Old crew checking in. I still call it dope, and get side eyed for it.
That was the only thing that popped out to me.
Remember when gov’t banned Furbies (sp?) in some places? Seems like they would make the same decision for a lot of people in important positions regarding their car purchasing.
There have been a couple studies about the actual brain differences between people on the left and their less developed progress stopping conservative (my editorializing of the situation) people. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/conservative-and-liberal-brains-might-have-some-real-differences/
I tried FreeBSD for several months about 15-20 years ago. I really liked how clean the filesystem and environment felt, and have suggested it for many people over the years. In the end I couldn’t get around their license vs GPL.
