It’s not just the weights though is it? You can download the training data they used, and run your own instance of the model completely separate from their servers.

better analogy would be converting a (relatively modern) gas engine to E85, it’s simpler, from what i understand

True story, I had serious pain in my chest and got a metallic taste in my mouth, my left shoulder started hurting and i had trouble breathing.
