I bought a Wi-Fi card and I couldn’t seem to make it work in Windows 10.
So I searched for the model number online and found out that it was only compatible with Windows 7, wtf?
So I installed Linux mint and it recognized the Wi-Fi card automatically.
They were being called 8 buck schmucks.
Get an n100 mini PC, I bought one with 12 GB of ram and a 512 GB SSD for about $170.
I do a little bit of both.
I’m only subscribed to about 10 small communities, where it’s stuff that I love but the communities are small enough that they don’t really reach my all feed.
And the way I browse all is that I’m always blocking communities that really don’t interest me so over time I only see stuff I like.
From what I understand, the attackers steal your number by gaining access to your phone carrier account.
They can gain access to your account either by finding your info in a data breach, or by phishing the account details from you.
That’s why they say that you need to setup a strong password with 2FA for your phone carrier account to protect yourself from this kind of attack.
They could set up their own fully federated Lemmy instance and scrape themselves.
I used to skip the pizza crust until I had a good pizza where the crust was just as good as the toppings.
That’s why I think people who don’t eat the crust haven’t had good pizza.

I think the iMessage push is a US only thing, mainly because almost everyone uses SMS/iMessage for texting, and if you don’t have an iPhone you’re stuck with the standard SMS features.
In other parts of the world they use WhatsApp, Telegram, or other multi platform messaging apps, so no one really cares about iMessage.
Security vulnerabilities are usually tagged as CVE and then some number. So the other dude is basically saying enjoy the security vulnerabilities.
