    I don’t even think I’m an NPC. I’m more the part of the HUD that flashes ‘press X’ when other people get near interactable objects.

    Nah, I’m the black and white “there’s got to be a better way” segment of an infomercial.

    I guess if you have to keep it in game terms, the specific NPC I’d be is the training dummy you hit during a tutorial. I’ll just stand here passively waiting for everyone else to do something.
