I’m a sound engineer, I have to go to concerts, it’s kind of my job.

Pretty much never been except the last two years. Went to the following the last two years:

• Live orchestra of Lord of the Rings music (really nice)
• Eivør (really can’t recommend her enough)
• Heilung (Eivør as foreband, really amazing as always)
• Planned to go listen to the Witcher music with live orchestra later this year.

It seems that once you find your niche and place to look it’s really nice!

For the last seven months I have been to one concert every month. Before that it was more like one every three to four months. I usually buy shirt and/or patchs, as I usually go to metal concerts. I try to buy as much as possible directly from the bands at their concerts instead of the internet so that the money goes directly to them.

Not while Ticketmaster exists.

I haven’t been to a concert since COVID.

I don’t at all. It’s way too much noise and way too many people, I get overstimulated and have panic attacks. I think it’s actually wild that people enjoy it.

A few times a year, probably around 5-6 I’d guess. Some months I end up going to more than one and other months it’s quiet.

Almost always buy merch… I have a lot of t-shirts haha.

10-15/year plus 5-10 local band shows. Begrudgingly buy merch and never put them in the dryer!!

Wear earplugs ya dopes. Tinnitus is no fun and never gets better, but doesn’t have to get worse. I’ve found Loop earplugs the most comfortable.

About 5 times a year, only classical music. Never bought merch.

I don’t often go to concerts, but when I do, I fly to New Zealand to see Bryan Adams and relive my teenage years

Every month to couple of months. Depends on who’s coming to town. We might go to two shows in a week and not have anyone we like come through for a while, or maybe we go to one and then another the next month. But it averages out to a bit more than every other month. Well, more I think.

Gonna see Acid Bath in June. Holy shit. And Bloody Beetroots in nine days.

I live in the middle of nowhere, so very rarely. However, whenever I go in work trips I check out what’s happening in the region. I managed to go see Dream Theater and Devin Townsend this way. Almost went to see Staind in Austin TX, but it would’ve involved a pretty long drive, which I wasn’t interested in.

Not often enough

When I was young, I went to every single show that came through my hometown.

Moving to Chicago for college, I went as often as there were bands I recognized , about three times a month.

Once I became a parent that shot downhill fast, to something like once every two months. I began to work nights and could almost never go. I’m back to a first shift schedule now and excited to start hitting the scene again, even if I’m too fat for the moshpit these days.
