Given the breadth and depth of evidence of him being a horrible person and holding favorable views towards fascism/nazism (see him flirting with every far-right movement), calling it misconstrued is misrepresenting reality. He knows what he did.
Unlike other commenters, I don’t think you’re necessarily a Nazi, but you are at least missing crucial information to make a proper judgment here. And, not to group you with them, but when you defend his Nazi salute, you’re not in good company.
That vern unsworth debacle from 2017 was pretty fun to read lol
Vern tells Elon to shove his submarine up his behind and then Elon calls him a pedo boy. A tit for tat moment, in which the defamation lawsuit was dismissed.
His daughter is saying one thing and Elon is saying another, so all we have is word of mouth. Naturally, people will believe the daughter because of their disdain for Elon, however, how can one be tricked into consenting to that procedure? Elon takes the L here.
Elon telling Germany to embrace their past and learn from it? Especially at the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz? Not a good look.
Elon had said that the awkward gesture he made was not a Nazi salute, that his heart goes out to everyone.
So… Everyone is running with the Nazi salute. Do we give him the benefit of the doubt and believe it was his intended gesture? Or do we perceive it as a Nazi salute and condemn him?
Everyone has chosen the latter. I can see why people can see that with 2 out of the three articles you’ve provided.
But there is a lot of irony in these posts that seem to want to fight fascism with fascism.
For example, people are calling Trump’s deportation measures fascist, and in the same breath, wanting to deport Trump supporters instead.
People calling it fascist for their anti Trump (or fascist) speech to be limited, but deeming Trump supporters having no right to talk.
But in all seriousness, I just find it all entertaining. The back and forth and the ironic rhetoric of backyard politicians.

I do appreciate your rebuttal and providing sources rather than snide comments.

I hope you’ll reconsider your stance.
