    Honestly if you’re not planning on programming, why should you need to know how to use the terminal?

    I get that it is incredibly useful, but I don’t think it should be a requirement for anyone just trying to use their PC. I think the prevalence of Linux terminal workflows is just a reflection of the user base: mostly coders.

      if you just use your pc then you dont have to use the terminal, unless you do some super basic distro like minimal arch or something

      Linux community: we need mass adoption more users from non technical backgrounds. Linux is better for the user. Also Linux community: what do you mean you don’t know how to open the terminal and enter these 15 suspicious commands. Here is a guide and don’t ask stupid questions. RTFM
