      But innovation means number must go up. In this case more range and more low energy throughput

      They’ll never get it right. Bluetooth is fundamentally bandwidth limited, new protocols can be a little more efficient, but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s just not enough data flowing for it to sound good.

      Are you still using BT 4 stuff? Since 5 became commonplace I haven’t had a single issue.

      My only gripe is that my phone will automatically connect to known devices and there’s no way to stop that other than forgetting the device.

        Hell If I know. I have a lot of older Bluetooth devices that I love and it seems like I’m always having connection issues. Some manufacturers are better than others.
