          And means mallard in Swedish. Rum means room or space. Andrum also means “room to breathe” so it has this really fitting double entendre you see in some IKEA names, in the sense that it’s “space for your bird” and also “gives you room to breathe.”

          Another good example is the bookcase BILLY. It’s a masculine name, which that genre of furniture carries, but it also sounds like “billig” meaning inexpensive or affordable.

    My mother’s kitten has a favourite pastime which is jumping into an ikea bag and getting dragged around the floor in it. She fucking loves it… whats with animals and Ikea bags?
