How can you do that to your loving pet? The pet doesn’t deserve to be out there alongside you, in the cold, struggling and suffering over some of the poor decisions you’ve made in your life. They didn’t ask for this and they don’t deserve this. Give them up to adoption.

I agree with the opinion but also that its unpopular. However, when it comes to pets, my wife is not as rationale as she is with other things. So likely if and when we are homeless we might be pulling pets with us. Don’t get me wrong she is great and reasonable in many other ways but when it comes to pets. Not so much.
