I feel like that’s got to be such a satisfying tree to climb as a cat. Claws in the bark, nose in the holes with an exploratory pawtip, and an easy descent if you’re not quite the climber you thought you were on the way up.
100%. Especially the holes at the roots I’m gonna go take some pictures for you now… they love to hide in them.

What’s the purpose of those nets?
They are used in olive harvesting. We open them up and lay them flat to catch the olives so we can process the into oil. This along with the branches full of olives we trim off the trees. It’s actually a really cool process last year was my first time doing it with my family around here and it was really awesome to learn made me feel really connected to my roots.
One of mine would have a field day with that tree. He’d probably go right up some of the branches.
