I went to the source at the city website, but it didn’t load, so I’m still not sure if this is including passengers as non-motorists. Regardless, it shows the pedestrian deaths alone and it’s a bit worse now than when they started collecting data, but it’s not reliably trending down (I could see an argument that it peaked in 2019, then generally trended downward, with a huge downward spike during the pandemic, that then returned, but I don’t think it’s significant enough to draw that conclusion just yet).
Also, the fatality rates for pedestrians fill me with dread and bile.
