US maternal mortality rate:

2016: 17 women per 100,000 births

2024: 19 women per 100,000 births

That is an 11% increase and higher than any year in the 2000-2019 timeframe.

  Just for a comparison, Canada’s maternal mortality rate for 2023 was 12 per 100,000.

No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.
