“USA bad” well extends beyond Lemmy and I don’t think Lemmy is “USA bad” enough.

That’s only one thing that’s true. Anyone who’s been here knows multiple things can be true at once.
I know there are tens of millions of Americans who aren’t fascists and hate what is going on. Until they get together and DO something about Trump and friends, though: USA bad.
The problem isn’t limited to Trump and the GOP, though, both parties support genocidal settler-colonialism and imperialism. The US Empire itself is bad, and needs to be torn down and replaced.

I think it’s more of an app thing, no?
I think someone can run ads on their instance on browser, and, separately, an app can run ads on any instance. Someone correct me here if I’m wrong.

As a Native American “USA bad” has been a thing before America was America.
Bad doesn’t summarize it well enough. Horrendous? Despicable?
Scientists are still working on a word for it. In the meantime, I’ll share the broad consensus phrase used by people around me: “fuck them, rooting on their downfall”
