    I know it’s a joke, but here’s a fun fact: very few original Greek sculptures survive to today. Most/all the marble statues we’d call greek sculptures are actually Roman reproductions of the Greek originals. The Greeks used bronze, and pretty much all of them wound up getting melted down in the middle ages, since bronze is useful for other things and all the statues were derided as “pagan”.
