Rotten Tomatoes has introduced a new audience rating called Verified Hot that filters users who can be confirmed to have bought a movie ticket.
Waitaminit, wouldn’t this rating be subject to effort bias, i.e. One thinks more highly of things that one has paid money for?
Or criticizes them more harshly. It could go both ways
I know I judge mediocre movies so much more harshlier when I had to waste money on it.
